Families can re-build their confidence and regain their self-esteem
Springbourne Family Centre in Boscombe, Dorset, provides services to local children and their families. The Centre offers support to mums & dads with children under five and provides parenting groups, workshops, courses and child contact services. By encouraging the development of good social and practical skills, coping strategies are enhanced and family relationships are strengthened.
Yellow Buses has been providing services for over a century and now accounts for about 14 million passenger journeys per year. As well as helping to reduce emissions from private transport, each week Yellow Buses holds a Carbon Stoppers ‘Thank You Thursday’ when every trip taken on the day contributes to a separately administered Community Chest.
Springbourne Family Centre is one of about forty beneficiaries of Carbon Stoppers since the scheme was jointly launched by Yellow Buses and the Daily Echo in 2008.
