We're in trouble. Consumerism has made us greedy - it's got to stop - we're running out of planet.
Green marketing and communications must be a positive force to change that.

This is an incredible event - we’re all trying to incorporate issues of debt and poverty which is quite difficult for a comedian. There is a fantastic growing awareness that the world is skew-whiff. There is no need, in this day and age, for anybody in any part of the world to go without food, education and basic health.

Host Universal transformed the London Eye into a world stage for live performances inspired by Africa to promote Cafédirect and the need for fair trade.
The one-off event comprised 96 performances lasting 30 minutes, the time it takes for each of the pods to complete a revolution. An audience of 20 people accompanied performers in each pod not knowing what they were going to see – the ‘roulette’ approach, heightening the evening’s drama.
Performers included a plethora of African and Africa-inspired playwrights, actors, musicians and comedians. Creating space for participation unleashes the creative spirit, brings new voices into focus and stimulates a wider world view.
