Imperative Space is a media, communications, education and technology business which aims to communicate the social, environmental and humanitarian value of space industries and space-related research to new audiences and the wider public.
Current and recent projects include Space Signpost, developed in conjunction with Futurelab, a multimedia sculpture which turns and points to any selected object in space in its real-time location, and provides accessible information about it. Space Signposts can be found in the Millennium Square in Bristol and the Kopernik Science Centre in Warsaw.
Our Space is a multimedia website and competition for school children, based around Richard Garriott's private mission to the International Space Station in 2008. And Reach for the Stars is a project using astronomy to unify, and stimulate aspiration for science education in Afghanistan and other challenging territories.
